PSRI multi-specialty hospital in Delhi announces addition of Institute of Neurosciences in the hospital

  • Appoints Dr. Shamsher Dwivedee, an esteemed neurologist of India as the Director of Neurosciences

9th August, New Delhi: Pushpawati Singhania Research Institute (PSRI) multi-specialty hospital has announced the addition of Institute of Neurosciences and appointment of Dr. Shamsher Dwivedee as the Director of Neurosciences. The new neurology department is equipped with modern facilities and advanced infrastructure to provide holistic patient-care and appropriate diagnosis for patients suffering from neurological disorders. Dr. Dwivedee will be heading the clinical team of Neurologists and Neurosurgeons of the hospital.

PSRI’s clinical team for institute of Neurosciences includes Dr Amit Srivasatava, Senior Consultant, Neurology, Dr Anurag Mahajan, Senior Consultant Physician, Head Intensive Care, and Dr Rahul Jain, Consultant, Neurosurgery. The department will include treatment of diseases ranging from epilepsy, parkinson’s, acute stroke programme, neuro-oncology and many more. The department and the team is committed in providing world-class treatment and contemporary diagnosis-approach and has adopted a patient-centric approach regarding line of treatments.

Dr.Samsher Dwivedee joined PSRI bringing in extensive experience in the field of Neuroscience to the hospital. He has done the highest number of clinical trials in India in the field of Neurology for various neurological disorders. In 1998, he did the first thrombolysis in stroke treatment in India and used Botox for the first time in India for post stroke spasticity in year 2000. Dr Dwivedee was involved in establishing full-fledged neurological department for renowned hospitals in Delhi. He has completed his DM (Neurology) training from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow in 1995.
