Wockhardt Hospitals Mira Road had organized an awareness Cyclothon to remind people to keep their Heart Healthy
Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road organized the second season of Wockhardt Cyclothon, aimed at promoting the significance of a healthy heart and overall fitness in individuals. The Cyclothon garnered an overwhelming response, with over 1,000 enthusiastic participants and professional cyclists from across Mumbai between the age group of 14 to 71.
The Cyclothon commenced from Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road, and was led by Dr. Viswanathan Iyer, renowned Neuro Surgeon and the BYCS Bicycle Mayor of Mumbai, and Ms Firoza Dadan, the First BYCS Bicycle Mayor of Mumbai. They were accompanied by the other Bicycle Mayors of Thane & Panvel, ACP Umesh Mane & ACP Vinayak Narale of MBVV Police, Additional, Deputy & Assistant Municipal Commissioners of Mira Bhayander, Lions Club District Governor Lion Ajay Havelia. Their presence was accompanied by Cycling Groups, YouTubers & Influencers. The Cyclothon was Flagged off by Dr. Anup Taksande, Dr. Chetan Bhambure, Dr. Ashish Mishra – Interventional Cardiologists & Dr. Mayuresh Pradhan Cardiacvascular & Thoracic Surgeon of Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road who encouraged the participants and made this event successful by spreading awareness about heart-healthy lifestyles. Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road in association with Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation also participated in the National campaign of Swachata Hi Seva, to mobilize citizen action and commitment towards building a Garbage Free India along with the cyclists & Lions Club of Mumbai Ruby.
At the event, Dr. Anup Taksande, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist of Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road emphasized the importance of cycling for overall health and cardiac wellness, stating, “Cycling is not only an enjoyable physical activity but also a fantastic way to improve cardiovascular health. Regular cycling can help reduce the risk of heart disease, lower blood pressure, and enhance overall fitness. It’s a simple yet effective way to care for your heart.”
