#BeLiverWise aims to educate the community on liver health and

encourages regular screening

On the occasion of World Liver Day 2023, Apollo Hospitals Jubilee Hills launched the #BeLiverWise initiative to raise awareness about the importance of prioritizing liver health and getting regular screening tests. The initiative was launched by Dr. Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Group along with Dr. Naveen Polavarapu, Consultant Gastroenterologist & Transplant Hepatologist, Dr. K. S. Soma Sekhar Rao, Consultant Gastroenterologist & Transplant Hepatologist, Dr. Raghu D K, Consultant Medical Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist, and Dr. Sarath Chandra G, Consultant Medical Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist part of Apollo Institute of Gastroenterology & Hepatology.

As part of the #BeLiverWise initiative, Apollo Hospitals released a specially curated booklet that provides essential information on the prevalence of liver diseases and their impact on society. The booklet also includes warning signs and tips to avoid liver diseases.

Dr. Sangita Reddy stated that liver diseases are a growing concern that needs to be addressed immediately. The best way to prevent liver diseases is by getting regular screening tests. Preventive healthcare can help identify the disease at an early stage and reduce the disease burden in society. She encourages everyone to undergo regular liver screening tests to help achieve a healthy India.

In addition, Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills launched an exclusive liver screening package called #BeLiverWise, priced at Rs 999. The package includes HBsAG, HCV, Liver Function tests, Fibro Scan, and Gastro consultation.
