The Editorial Board of Apollo Medicine, the official journal of the Apollo Hospitals Group, hosted a prestigious event to recognize and celebrate exceptional contributions to medical science and research. The ceremony was held at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals and witnessed the presence of esteemed leaders in healthcare and science.
The event commenced with a warm Welcome Address by Dr. Raju Vaishya, Editor-in-Chief of Apollo Medicine and Senior Consultant in Orthopedics at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals. He emphasized the journal’s mission to foster academic excellence and encourage evidence-based medical practice across the Apollo network and beyond.
Mr. P. Shivakumar, Managing Director of Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, felicitated the Chief Guest, Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, acknowledging his remarkable contributions to the nation’s scientific advancement.
Dr Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Group, underlined that the journal’s goal is to promote academic excellence and evidence-based medicine both inside and outside of the Apollo network.
Dr. Anupam Sibal, Group Medical Director of the Apollo Hospitals Group, took the opportunity to honor and felicitate scientists from Apollo recognized in the top 2% globally, as well as those whose H-index exceeds 35, underlining the commitment of Apollo’s clinicians to both patient care and academic research.
In his keynote Address, Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood applauded Apollo Hospitals’ dedication to integrating research and clinical excellence. He highlighted the critical role healthcare institutions play in driving translational research and reaffirmed the government’s support for such initiatives.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Gen. Dr. Bipin Puri, Director of Medical Services at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals.
