Aster DM Healthcare, one of the largest integrated healthcare
providers in India, successfully hosted the second edition of Aster Beacon Conference 2025–26, a
flagship knowledge sharing platform focusing on the theme “Harnessing Technology and AI for
Transformative Healthcare: Enhancing Quality, Safety and Efficiency.” The conference was held at
the RV Dental College Auditorium, Bengaluru and was attended by over 200+ healthcare
professionals across India, including Clinicians, Administrators, Quality Managers, Nursing and
Hospital Management Students.
The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Anoop A. Shetty, an IPS officer and a formidable figure in the
realm of information security who graced the occasion as Chief Guest along with key leaders from
Aster DM Healthcare. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anoop Shetty said, “Cybersecurity as we know is
all about keeping computers, networks, and data safe from hackers and digital threats. As healthcare
today operates at the intersection of technology and human life, adapting to a strong cybersecurity
ecosystem is critical. It is especially important because patient records are sensitive, and any attack
can disrupt care or even put lives at risk.”
The conference featured a distinguished panel of national experts from leading healthcare
institutions, academic bodies, and healthcare technology organisations. Speakers included senior
leaders and subject-matter experts such as Directors of Digital Health, AI and MedTech, Heads of
professional bodies and healthcare organisations and leaders from the Quality Department. Senior
leaders from the Aster group included Mr Ramesh Kumar S, Chief Operating Officer; Dr Anup R
Warrier, Chief of Medical Affairs & Quality; Mr. Sudeep Dey, Chief Information Officer & Chief
Information Security; Dr Prashant N, Chief Executive Officer, Karnataka Cluster and Dr Anna George,
Head – Quality, Aster DM Healthcare.
Distinguished speakers participated in six thematic sessions: Generating actionable insights on the
Digital health ecosystem and quality of care; Patient engagement in the digital era; Challenges,
ethical considerations, upskilling and Change management in tech adoption; Operational excellence
powered by technology; and insight into technology and AI in medication safety; and Cybersecurity
as a patient safety concern. A structured expert-led debate session on the impact of digitisation in
healthcare fostered balanced dialogue on opportunities, risks, and ethical considerations.
The Aster Beacon Conference reflects Aster DM Healthcare’s continued commitment to innovation-
led, patient-centric, and quality-driven healthcare. The Aster Beacon Conference 2025–26 forms part
of a broader series of pre-conference workshops conducted across Aster hospitals in India,
reinforcing the organisation’s focus on continuous learning, quality improvement, and healthcare
transformation.
