After the success of Sri Lanka Medical and Equipment Virtual Expo (SLMEVE) which was successfully organised last month (16-19 March 2021), we are pleased to announce Bangladesh Medical & Healthcare Virtual Expo – Incorporating Business Matching Week to be held on 21-24 June 2021 on our Bee2Bee virtual Platform. This virtual expo is an initiative to bridge the gap between the demand and supply of quality medical and healthcare products in Bangladesh in the current and post pandemic era.

The current size of Bangladesh’s medical device market in 2020 was USD 2.3 billion and is highly import-oriented as more than 85% of the medical supplies are imported from the USA, India, China, South Korea and the European countries. Also, in the last financial budget, the healthcare sector was given the highest priority in the current pandemic situation and (as compared to last fiscal year) and the Bangladeshi government announced 23.44% additional allocation and incentives in their budget for 2021-22. With the demand for quality healthcare in state and private healthcare sectors, the Bangladesh’s medical devices and equipments market is expected to achieve one of the fastest growth rates in the world in the next 5 years.

Similar to Sri Lanka Medical & Equipment Virtual Expo, The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) shall be forming the India Pavilion for 30-50 Indian companies with the support of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India at Bangladesh Medical & Healthcare Virtual Expo and Business Matching Week. 

The participation of international manufacturers and suppliers at this expo will give direct opportunity to discuss business cooperation with Bangladesh’s state and private hospitals, medical clinics, health centers, medical laboratories, state procurement agencies, importers, distributors, agents, pharmacies, hotels & resorts, pharmacies, healthcare retailers, corporate business houses, traders and wholesalers, and others.
