Motherhood Hospital, Kharadi, hosted a series of heartwarming events to celebrate Children’s Day and World Prematurity Day. The hospital, known for its commitment to women’s and child health, organized activities that brought joy to children and their families while emphasizing the importance of early childhood development and specialized care for premature infants.

The Children’s Day celebration was filled with exciting activities designed to engage both children and parents. The event featured a drawing competition, cartoon mascot performances, a tattoo art corner, and a special prize for the best-dressed child. Over 20 parents with children participated in the competition. Motherhood Hospital, which focuses on the holistic development of children, sees such events as an opportunity to foster the emotional and mental well-being of young minds through fun, play, and learning.

The hospital marked World Prematurity Day by honoring premature babies who had been cared for in the NICU in the past three months. These tiny “warriors” were celebrated with a special cake-cutting ceremony and awarded “NICU Graduate Certificates” for their courage and progress. Families of premature babies were invited to join in the celebration, and gifts were distributed to the children as a token of appreciation. Dr. Tushar Parikh, Senior Consultant Pediatrician & Neonatologist at Motherhood Hospitals, delivered an insightful talk on the challenges faced by premature infants and the importance of specialized NICU care. The event served as a powerful reminder of the critical role of comprehensive, compassionate care in ensuring the survival and optimal development of premature babies. Approximately 20 families attended the event, which not only brought joy but also raised awareness about neonatal care.

Dr. Tushar Parikh, Senior Consultant Pediatrician & Neonatologist at Motherhood Hospitals, spoke about the remarkable advancements in neonatal care. “A few years ago, the outlook for premature babies, especially those weighing less than 1 kg—was often grim. Today, thanks to advancements in medical science, neonatologists, and specialized care teams have revolutionized the care of even the most fragile infants. Our state-of-the-art NICU can care for babies weighing as little as 400-500 grams,” Dr. Parikh explained. He further highlighted the importance of a holistic approach to care, which includes round-the-clock monitoring, specialized therapies, and developmental support.

“Beyond survival, the focus now is on ensuring the best possible development for these babies. Our NICU is designed to promote healthy growth, reduce stress, and create a nurturing environment. After discharge, we continue to provide comprehensive follow-up care, including developmental assessments and parental support, to ensure these children reach their full potential,” Dr. Parikh added.

Mr. Kanishk P Jha, Facility Director at Motherhood Hospital, Kharadi, commented on the significance of these celebrations: “At Motherhood Hospital, we believe that the foundation for a healthy and happy life is laid in early childhood. Our Children’s Day celebration was a reflection of our commitment to nurturing young minds. We aim to empower the next generation through a combination of fun, creativity, and learning. Beyond the celebrations, our state-of-the-art NICU is equipped with the latest technology to care for even the most fragile infants. Our dedicated team of neonatologists and nurses ensures that each child receives world-class care and attention. We are proud to be at the forefront of pediatric healthcare, combining advanced medical expertise with compassionate care.”

By organizing these special events, Motherhood Hospital reaffirms its commitment to the overall well-being of children. The hospital recognizes that a healthy and happy childhood is the key to building a bright future, and it remains dedicated to providing both medical expertise and emotional support to children and families at every stage of development.
