The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Delhi State, successfully hosted the 2nd CII Delhi Healthcare Summit 2025 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, under the theme “Towards Integrated, Inclusive, and Accessible Healthcare Ecosystem.” The summit convened industry leaders, health professionals, policymakers, and diagnostics experts to deliberate on future-ready solutions in India’s healthcare landscape.
Shri Madhukar Kumar Bhagat, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, addressing the summit, stressed upon adoption of technology it is relevant to the patient, the system, and the society. He emphasized for collaborative action to strengthen India’s public health systems, bridge care gaps through infrastructure and technology, and improve healthcare outcomes through data-led and patient-centric innovations. From Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) to eSanjeevani, and the integration of AI tools in public health, his address tackled the future of healthcare systems, highlighting key challenges and solutions around interoperability, infrastructure, and inclusion.
Mrs. Upasana Arora, Chairperson, CII Uttar Pradesh and Managing Partner, Yashoda Super Speciality Hospital, reflected on the inclusive role of every citizen in nation-building. She emphasized that healthcare is a universal need and that a healthy individual is the foundation of a prosperous nation. She lauded the government’s responsiveness to industry feedback and stressed that taxpayers are the true architects of Viksit Bharat. CII, she noted, plays a vital role in advocating actionable reforms to both state and central governments.
Dr. Ravi Gaur, Convenor, CII Delhi Panel on Healthcare and Founder DRG Path Labs & Chairman Medical Advisory Committee, Oncquest Laboratories Ltd underscored the importance of moving from ‘illness to wellness’ by prioritizing preventive care, diagnostics at the doorstep, and integrated healthcare delivery. He called for seamless public-private partnerships, ease of doing business in healthcare through regulatory simplification, and stronger infrastructure networks such as Ayushman Arogya Mandirs integrated with private players.
Dr. Meinal Chaudhary, Co-Convenor, CII Delhi Panel on Healthcare & Director, Aakash Healthcare, reiterated the irreplaceable role of the human touch in healthcare, even in an era of AI and automation. While embracing AI to improve efficiency and reduce errors, she emphasized that empathy, equity, and the human element will continue to define quality healthcare. She called for strengthening Delhi’s role as a medical excellence hub, grounded in both technology and compassion.
The summit featured impactful sessions focussed on integrated, diagnostics and preventive healthcare, digital health, public private partnerships, future-ready health insurance frameworks and corporate well-being. With over 120 participants from diagnostics, hospitals, med-tech, and wellness sectors, CII reaffirmed its commitment to fostering an inclusive, tech-enabled, and citizen-centric healthcare ecosystem that supports India’s journey toward Viksit Bharat.
