Delhi Government Launches 53 New BLS Ambulances to Boost Emergency Medical Response

In a landmark initiative to strengthen the capital’s emergency healthcare infrastructure, the

Government of NCT of Delhi, through its autonomous body Centralised Accident and Trauma

Services (C.A.T.S.), officially launched a new fleet of 53 Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances on

25 September 2025 at the Mini Secretariat, Delhi.

This ambitious project is being executed in collaboration with UnM Lifecare Pvt Ltd, the official

operator of the ambulance fleet, and Spencer India Technologies Pvt Ltd, the technology and

service partner. Both organizations have brought their expertise together to deliver a robust,

high-quality, and rapid trauma care solution for Delhi’s residents.

“This partnership with UnM Lifecare and Spencer India represents a transformative step

in our commitment to public health and emergency response,” said a senior official from C.A.T.S.,

Government of Delhi.

 

Key Highlights of the Initiative:

53 new BLS ambulances will be deployed across Delhi to provide timely medical care and

transportation.

Ambulances are fully equipped with modern life-saving medical equipment.

UnM Lifecare Pvt Ltd will operate and manage the fleet under a formal contract with C.A.T.S.

Spencer India Technologies Pvt Ltd brings in advanced technology solutions and operational

expertise to ensure service efficiency and patient safety.

This launch marks a major milestone in improving pre-hospital emergency care and underscores

the Delhi Government’s commitment to

building a healthier and safer city.

“We are proud to partner with the Government of Delhi on this mission. Together with UnM Lifecare,

our goal is to ensure every emergency call is answered with speed, professionalism, and care,” said

a spokesperson from Spencer India Technologies Pvt Ltd.

“This fleet represents more than just ambulances – it’s a symbol of accessibility, preparedness, and

trust,” added a representative from UnM Lifecare Pvt Ltd.
