Enira, in collaboration with the World Health Summit (WHS), successfully hosted a high-impact panel discussion titled “Water For Health Equity: Uniting Policy and Industry for a Resilient Future” recently, at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This event convened opinion leaders, policymakers, academic experts, and innovators in the industry to capture deep conversations around the important trinomial of water, health equity, and sustainable development.

 

The discussions unfolded over two distinct panels, each moderated by Dr. Sabine Kapasi, CEO of Enira, Founder of ROPAN Healthcare, and UN Advisor. Under her expert guidance, the panel sought pragmatic pathways for transforming water governance, policy modernization, and technology integration toward a healthier and equitable future.

 

The inaugural panel, “Flowing Reforms: Water Governance and Health Equity,” examined the fundamental laws and institutions that guarantee the right to water for health. Among the other eminent speakers were Shri Ashok Meena (Secretary, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti), Shalabh Kumar (Former Member, Delhi Jal Board), Nitin Bassi (Senior Programme Lead, Sustainable Water, CEEW), Dr. Sangeeta Thatai (Senior Manager, Genetic Sciences Division, Thermo Fisher Scientific), and Dr. Saarthak Bakshi (Founder & CEO, RISAA IVF and NEOS Angeles). They discussed legal and governmental initiatives such as the Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), emphasizing the necessity of integrating academia and community engagement in the water-health agenda.

 

The second panel, “From Source to System: Innovating Water for Public Health,” highlighted industries’ innovations and systems thinking in confronting water challenges. Panellists Dr. Chakrapani Chatla (Regional Commercial Manager, Thermo Fisher Scientific), Dhruv Kohli (Vice President, Public Sector Business, HCL Software), Rizvaan Singh Mann (Divisional Head, Water and Wastewater Division, Amchem Products Pvt. Ltd.) and Nitin Bassi (Senior Programme Lead, Sustainable Water at CEEW) discussed smart water solutions, ESG-driven initiatives, decentralized purification systems, and opportunities for PPP models to accelerate impact at scale.

 

Speaking on the significance of the event, Dr. Sabine Kapasi stated, “Water is not merely a resource; it is the backbone of health equity. At Enira, we believe that equipping visionary policymakers with cutting-edge industry innovations will help create a resilient future in which access to safe water is a basic right, not a privilege. Today’s discussions reaffirm that inter-sectoral cooperation can no longer be optional; it is imperative.”

 

The panel discussion witnessed active engagement from various stakeholders comprising government representatives, healthcare experts, and academicians to address challenges associated with Water for Health Equity in a multi-pronged by adopting PPP models.
