In the wake of deteriorating AQI in Mumbai, there has been a significant increase in respiratory diseases like Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, and tuberculosis. Factors such as construction work air pollution, and smoking are causing inflammation in the lungs and are affecting individuals across all age brackets~

With the objective of providing solace to patients grappling with respiratory issues, Global Hospitals, Parel, Mumbai has unveiled an unprecedented Intensive Respiratory Care Unit (IRCU) facility featuring 8 beds that boast cutting-edge technology, that 2 are exclusive negative pressure cubicles. This specialized unit is specifically designed for the comprehensive management of complex respiratory conditions that have seen a surge post-pandemic.
