In a significant step towards promoting mental well-being at workplaces, Infosys, in collaboration with the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), has launched a comprehensive Mental Health Training Manual aimed at strengthening employee wellness programs across corporate India.

The manual, designed jointly by experts from Infosys and NIMHANS, serves as a scientifically grounded guide for HR professionals, managers, and wellness officers to identify, understand, and address mental health concerns among employees. It covers key areas such as stress management, early intervention, stigma reduction, and creating psychologically safe workplaces.

According to Infosys, the initiative aligns with its broader commitment to employee-centric well-being and inclusive workplace practices. The company emphasized that mental health must be viewed as a core pillar of organizational resilience and productivity, especially in the post-pandemic hybrid work environment.

“Our partnership with NIMHANS is a reflection of our belief that mental wellness is fundamental to a thriving workplace,” said Infosys spokesperson representative. “This manual will serve as a resource to help organizations integrate mental health support into their business culture effectively.”

NIMHANS officials added that the manual draws upon the institute’s clinical and research expertise to translate complex mental health concepts into practical frameworks that can be adopted across industries.

“Corporate India has a unique opportunity to shape the mental health narrative positively,” said a NIMHANS representative. “Through structured training and awareness, organizations can foster empathy, resilience, and inclusivity at all levels.”

The manual will be rolled out across Infosys’ offices nationwide and made available to partner organizations through awareness sessions and digital platforms. It is expected to become a benchmark for corporate mental health policies and contribute to India’s evolving dialogue on workplace wellness.
