prominent and well-known rheumatics, has been appointed as a consultant rheumatologist, at Manipal hospital. She has been one of the pioneers in her domain with extensive knowledge and experience of 14 years in treating complex cases. She has proficiency in treating vasculitis, connective tissue disease, arthritis, and other severe rheumatological conditions. She also has virtuosity in treating many complex cases of autoimmune diseases and critical rheumatological illnesses.

Rheumatology is a subspeciality of Internal medicine, which is also called clinical Immunology. Rheumatological or autoimmune disorders include various forms of arthritides like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis-related arthritis, ankylosing Spondylitis, Systemic lupus erythematosus (Lupus) and more. If rheumatological diseases are not treated early, it can affect multiple organs including major systems like the nervous system, kidneys, lungs, or heart, leading to damage to various body systems. Dr Manisha has made many accurate diagnoses of rheumatological diseases along with treating immune system dysfunction, which occurs when the body’s own cells damage the normal body tissues.

Before joining Manipal Hospital Whitefield, Dr. Manisha Ashwin Daware was working as a H.O.D. and Consultant of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology at a renowned hospital in Bangalore. She also worked as a rheumatology faculty at various institutions. Dr. Daware was also associated with the Indian Rheumatology Association, Indian Medical Association, and National Academy of Medical Sciences and Association of Physicians of India. Besides these, she is one of the first rheumatology faculties to start the DNB Rheumatology super specialty course in the state of Karnataka.

Dr. Daware has been treating complex cases of rheumatological and autoimmune disorders which include various forms of arthritides like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis-related arthritis, ankylosing Spondylitis, Systemic lupus erythematosus (Lupus), Systemic Vasculitis, Sarcoidosis, Bechet’s syndrome and more.

Dr. Manisha Ashwin Daware completed her MBBS from Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur University (MH) in the year 2001. She completed her MD in General medicine from Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur (MH), DNB, General medicine (NBE) in 2004. She received her Fellowship in Rheumatology from Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad in 2008. She is a diplomat of the National Board in General Medicine from New Delhi.
