Marengo Asia Healthcare, a leading multi-specialty hospital platform in India backed by marquee investors including Samara Capital, Havells Family Office, and Godrej Family Office, has announced a strategic investment of ₹150 crore to expand its footprint into Maharashtra and Rajasthan. This major investment is a pivotal step in Marengo’s broader vision of establishing a pan-India presence by consolidating its operations across the North and West regions.
The healthcare group currently operates approximately 1,500 beds across four hospitals in Delhi NCR and Gujarat. With this infusion, Marengo aims to double its capacity to 3,000 beds over the next 12 months through a blend of organic growth and selective acquisitions. The expansion strategy includes acquiring standalone hospitals in Maharashtra and Rajasthan while simultaneously adding more beds and advanced infrastructure to its existing hospitals in Gujarat and northern India.
Raajiv Singhal, Founding Member, Group Managing Director & CEO of Marengo Asia Hospitals, emphasized the group’s vision, stating, “We will consolidate both North and West clusters. We are adding beds in Gujarat, and will soon make that announcement. We’re also evaluating assets across Maharashtra and Rajasthan. This expansion will position us among the top leaders in the country’s healthcare sector.” The investment brings the group’s total capital deployment—spanning equity, debt, acquisitions, and infrastructure—to over ₹1,500 crore to date.
Marengo Asia Healthcare’s journey has been marked by aggressive growth through acquisitions, such as the acquisition of W Pratiksha Hospital in early 2023, along with the enhancement of clinical services and infrastructure at all its facilities. With a strong focus on patient-centric care, advanced clinical offerings, and academic integration, Marengo continues to distinguish itself as a next-generation healthcare platform. The upcoming foray into western India reinforces the group’s commitment to delivering accessible, high-quality care across geographies.
