Medikabazaar, India’s leading B2B Health-tech platform, today announced its expansion of warehousing capacity across India to strengthen supply chain infrastructure. The health-tech firm is moving to bigger facilities and have set up more than 45 fulfilment centres across the country to cater to the surge in customer base demands with a target to increase accessibility and faster availability of medical supplies and equipment across India’s farthest corners by augmenting their supply chain efficiencies.
Traditionally, medical supply chains have been concentrated in and around metropolitan cities and a wide supply chain gap has hindered the availability and accessibility of healthcare facilities in tier-II and III cities. Medikabazaar’ s geographical expansion is aimed at reducing delivery turnaround times, ensuring better availability of medical supplies in underserved regions and other rural areas, and thus improving accessibility of healthcare supplies and facilities in the remotest regions of India.
The company has expanded their fulfilment centres in all major states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Delhi, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Assam, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha. Medikabazaar is further looking to expand its supply chain facilities in the North-Eastern belt and provide the farthest penetration of healthcare supplies.
Vivek Tiwari, CEO & Founder, Medikabazaar said “The expansion of fulfilment centres will play a major role in easing the distribution and delivery of products but also reduce costs in the long term. Fulfilment centres provide storage for both finished products and materials, packing and distribution services, and numerous other advantages. This expansion will help us serve our current high growth phase and create a positive impact in tier-II and III cities as we will directly serve our customers in almost every state with multiple fulfilment centres that will serve as robust repositories of healthcare supplies and equipment.”
