Following the successful completion of its initial public offering (IPO) recently, Nephro Care India Limited (NCIL), inaugurated a 100-bedded multispecialty hospital Vivacity Multispecialty Hospital at Madhyamgram in Kolkata, West Bengal on Sunday. The total investment on the project is estimated to be close to Rs 36.51 crore. Of this, Rs 26.17 crore would come from the net proceeds of the IPO and the remaining would be funded through internal accruals.
The hospital, a unit of Nephro Care India, will have 100 inpatient beds, including a 30-bed Critical Care unit having ICU, HDU, RTU and NICU facilities. Vivacity will offer treatment services in various disciplines such as cardiology, medical oncology, gastroenterology, gynaecology and many others, including an advanced renal transplant unit in East India. It will be the first-of-its-kind hospital in the eastern region boasting of AI-enabled smart OTs and ICU.
Deepak Parekh-backed multi-specialty healthcare provider in East India, NCIL, successfully completed its IPO recently and got listed at Rs 171/-, at an upper circuit premium of 90 per cent over the fixed price band of Rs. 90/-. The company’s stock became the first to register more than 2 crore shares awaiting purchase amidst bumper opening.
Speaking at the inauguration of Vivacity Multispecialty Hospital, Dr Pratim Sengupta, Founder & MD, Nephro Care India, said, “At Nephro Care India it has been our constant endeavour to redefine healthcare by providing holistic service to our patients. Vivacity will offer an elaborate scope of diagnostic facilities through a central pathological lab to cater to patients across all major disciplines of Pathology supported by superior diagnostic tools. The hospital also proposes to offer advanced dialysis facilities from its 30-bedded dialysis centre. Its clinical infrastructure is also proposed to include an advanced OT (operation theatre) set up comprising five modular operation theatres, one Minor OT and Cath lab with Laminar Air Flow and HEPA Filter.
Moreover, Vivacity will offer special mother and child care services through a dedicated unit and also run 10 OPDs to serve outpatient footfall.
