Staying fit is very important for a healthy, active, and long life. This is true in the case of couples who are trying for conception as well. Both being underweight or overweight has a negative impact on fertility. Most women prioritize family responsibilities, career goals, and other commitments paying no or little attention to fitness. Hence, it is vital to spread awareness about the importance of regular exercise which can play a key role in improving women’s fertility and overall health.
Oasis Fertility, Guntur conducted a 5 KM Walkathon on the occasion of International Women’s Day to emphasize fitness in daily life. Guntur Deputy Mayor Shaik Sajeela flagged off the 5 KM Walkathon. Dr. V Ramya, Clinical Head and Fertility Specialist, Guntur graced the occasion. Several teenagers and women participated in the event with great enthusiasm.
Speaking on the occasion, Shaik Sajeela, Deputy Mayor said, “My heartfelt wishes to all women on this special day. Every woman needs to take an effort to stay fit. Make exercise part of your daily routine. With determination and perseverance, you can make your dreams come true. Oasis Fertility organized a 5K walk to Celebrate International Women’s Day and to raise awareness about women’s health and fitness. Prevention is better than cure, therefore we women should give attention to our health. India’s top infertility center, Oasis Fertility has been bringing happiness in the lives of childless couples and should continue to help such couples.”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. V Ramya, Clinical Head and Fertility Specialist, Guntur stated, “My best wishes for all women for a happy and healthy life. Fitness is one of the pillars of a healthy life. But as women get too busy with work and family, they hardly get time for exercise. A healthy weight is very essential for those who are planning to conceive as well. Obesity can lead to infertility and also cause several complications during pregnancy and delivery. A 20 minutes-walk daily can help you stay brisk, fit and keep illness at bay. Giving priority to your health is more important.”
