New Delhi, February 16, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the growing influence of artificial intelligence in reshaping healthcare delivery as India hosts the AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam.

The summit, which commenced on February 16 and will run through February 20, has drawn participation from more than 100 countries. Attendees include heads of government, ministers, policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, innovators and technology experts from across the globe. The overarching theme for this year’s gathering is Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya — welfare and well-being for all.

In a message shared on social media, the Prime Minister noted that AI is driving transformation across multiple sectors, including healthcare, education, agriculture, governance and enterprise. He expressed confidence that deliberations at the summit would strengthen global dialogue around innovation, collaboration and the responsible use of AI, ultimately shaping a progressive and opportunity-driven future.

Welcoming international delegates, PM Modi described the summit as a platform to bring together global leadership and technology pioneers to collectively chart the next phase of AI-led advancement.

The AI Impact Summit 2026 builds upon previous global AI engagements, including the AI Action Summit held in Paris last year, co-chaired by PM Modi, as well as earlier meetings in Seoul in 2024 and the inaugural edition at Bletchley Park in 2023.

Beyond the main sessions, the week-long programme features more than 500 associated events. A large-scale trade exhibition is also being organised, showcasing AI-powered products and solutions from over 840 exhibitors, including national delegations, ministerial groups, leading technology companies, AI startups and research institutions.

While activities are underway throughout the week, the official two-day leaders’ summit is scheduled for February 16 and 20. The event is expected to conclude with the adoption of a joint Declaration by participating nations, outlining a shared vision for ethical, inclusive and impactful AI deployment worldwide.
