Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has announced the development of the ‘Apno Swasth Rajasthan’ (Our Healthy Rajasthan) initiative, aiming to provide affordable, accessible, and high-quality medical facilities across the state. This strategic move underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services for all residents.

Commitment to Affordable and Accessible Healthcare

During a pre-budget dialogue with medical and health sector representatives, Chief Minister Sharma emphasized that delivering cost-effective and quality healthcare is a top priority for the state government. He stated, “Providing cheap, accessible, and quality medical facilities to the people of the state is the priority of the government.”

Expansion of Medical Personnel

To support the ‘Apno Swasth Rajasthan’ initiative, the government has already recruited 21,000 medical personnel, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics. Plans are underway to appoint an additional 50,000 staff members to further strengthen the healthcare infrastructure. Chief Minister Sharma highlighted that these efforts are crucial for achieving the vision of a healthy Rajasthan.

Significant Budget Allocation for Health Services

Demonstrating a strong commitment to healthcare, the state has allocated a record 8.26% of its total budget towards health services. This substantial investment aims to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes throughout Rajasthan.

Digital Health Advancements

The government is also focusing on digital health initiatives to streamline healthcare services. Nearly 6 crore residents have been issued Abha IDs, positioning Rajasthan as a leader in digital health record management. Additionally, over 11,500 health institutions have been operationalized as Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, benefiting millions of people.

Specialized Healthcare Initiatives

Chief Minister Sharma announced plans to develop Jaipur into a hub of advanced cardiac care with the construction of a state-of-the-art cardiac tower. Furthermore, the RUHS Hospital in Pratapnagar is being upgraded to the Rajasthan Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), modeled after AIIMS, to provide specialized medical services.

Public Health Campaigns

The state government is actively combating food adulteration through the ‘Shuddha Aahar-Adulteration Par War’ campaign and is working towards making Rajasthan TB-free with the ‘TB Mukt Gram Panchayat’ initiative. These efforts reflect a comprehensive approach to improving public health.

Collaborative Efforts for a Healthier Rajasthan

Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar praised the Chief Minister’s leadership in expanding healthcare services and highlighted the benefits of initiatives such as digital health technology, telemedicine, and Abha IDs. He expressed confidence in achieving the vision of a Healthy Rajasthan through collective efforts.
