His visit acknowledged AMTZ’s role as a national hub driving inclusion, accessibility, and self-reliance in healthcare.
During his visit, Shri Aggarwal toured AMTZ’s world-class facilities and interacted with startups incubated within the Zone that are developing next-generation assistive technologies. He also engaged with the World Health Innovation Fellows on themes of disability empowerment and accessible healthcare solutions, emphasizing the importance of cross-sector collaboration.

The visit marked the inauguration of the SAGE Wheelchair manufacturing unit at AMTZ. SAGE India, a 44 years pioneer organisation, will now produce advanced wheelchairs and assistive devices at MedTech Zone, further strengthening India’s domestic manufacturing capacity for disability aids.
Dr. Jitendra Sharma, MD & Founder CEO of AMTZ, remarked, “At AMTZ, we believe empowering Divyangjans goes beyond technology—it is about dignity, opportunity, and inclusion. Through our Assistive Technology Centre, artificial limb programs, support to para-sports players, and skill development initiatives, we are building an ecosystem where innovation uplifts lives. The collaboration with DEPwD will further strengthen our shared mission to enable independence, employment, and entrepreneurship for persons with disabilities.”
With this visit, AMTZ and the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities are set to join hands on new initiatives for Divyangjan empowerment—deepening the commitment to blend innovation with social responsibility and reinforcing India’s vision of healthcare and technology for all.
