ShardaCare Healthcity has appointed Dr Kousar Shah as the Group Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Dr Shah brings deep expertise in business growth, operational excellence, digital transformation, and patient-first care experience enhancement. In his new role, he will oversee both hospitals ShardaCare Healthcity and Sharda hospital and the strategies to further strengthen ShardaCare’s integrated healthcare ecosystem and expansion to access to quality healthcare across India.

With over 25 years of experience in healthcare leadership, Dr. Kousar Shah has strengthened hospitals by driving revenue and consistent EBITDA growth and operational excellence. He has led successful transformations and under his leadership, many hospitals have undergone not just financial and operational transformation but also enhanced digital transformation with eHIS systems, paperless operations, including robust academic programs etc. A TEDx speaker, mentor for emerging leaders, NLP-certified coach, and recognised voice of leadership and spirituality, Dr. Kousar’s philosophy blends profit optimization, people engagement, and patient-first strategies to build sustainable healthcare systems & cultures.

Dr. Kousar Shah has held senior leadership roles at leading healthcare institutions including Max Healthcare, Fortis Healthcare, BLK Super Specialty Hospital, Columbia Asia, Artemis, Paras Healthcare, Aakash Healthcare etc.

He is a clinician who transitioned into healthcare management and is an alumni of GR Medical College, (Gwalior), AIIMS, and BITS Pilani.
