State of The Art Digitally Enabled Manipal Hospital Dwarka Launched In New Delhi

380 bedded multi super speciality is Manipal’s first venture in the capital

Manipal Hospitals part of Manipal Education and Medical Group, one of India’s leading healthcare provider today launched its state of the art digitally enabled 380 bedded multi super specialty ‘Manipal Hospital Dwarka’. Aimed at providing specialized tertiary and quaternary care, the hospital is spread over 5,60,000 square feet and houses 7 Centres of Excellence ( Cardiac Sciences, Medical and Surgical Gastroenterology, Neuro Sciences, Oncology Services, Orthopaedics & Joint Replacements, Renal Sciences- Nephrology & Urology, Gynecology and Pediatrics with cutting edge technology, state of the art equipment and advanced support services for enhanced patient outcomes.

The robust facility was inaugurated by Cricketer and former India Captain Mr. Rahul Dravid in the presence of dignitaries Shri R P Upadhyaya, IPS, Special Commissioner (Law & Order), South, Delhi Police, New DelhiDr. Sudarshan Ballal, Chairman -Manipal Hospitals and Mr. Pramod Alagharu, CEO- Manipal Hospitals Dwarka Pvt Ltd.

The group operates a chain of multi-specialty hospitals with over 5200 beds and has footprints across Bangalore, Manipal, Mangalore, Vijayawada, Salem, Goa and Jaipur. Manipal Hospital Dwarka is the group’s first hospital in the capital and tenth in the country. The group also operates a facility in Klang,  Malaysia.

Announcing the launch Dr. H Sudarshan Ballal, Chairman Manipal Hospitals said, “It is a proud moment for Manipal to foray into the capital after being in the industry for close to 60 years. Manipal Hospital Dwarka has embraced digital and tech advancements for better outcomes. With a complete WIFI premises and top of the line HIS system, the hospital is equipped with Wireless point-of-care (POC) devices such as computers on wheels (COWs) and mobile clinical devices (MCD) such as tablet PCs, smart phones, and PDAs, Real-time location system (RTLS) technologies, Electronic medical records (EMRs) accessible to doctors from anywhere within the premises. The Hospital houses latest of equipment inclusive Robotic surgery system, dual energy LINAC, Spec CT and Integrated ICU.

Manipal Hospital Dwarka also houses a robust fleet of ambulances Manipal Ambulance Responsive Services (MARS) that are equipped with ICU services and trained drivers who can perform ‘Basic Life Support” . Stationed at 12 different locations across Dwarka across NCR, MARS follows a unique command centre protocol, which make ambulances reach the patient in  the quickest possible time and ensures real time monitoring during the transport period.
