Stryker, one of the world’s leading medical technologies companies, has announced the launch of MultiGen 2 Radiofrequency (RF) Generator at the Interventional Radiofrequency Pain Conference in Delhi today. This technology provides physicians with the efficiency, control and reliability they need when performing RF ablation, a minimally invasive procedure that can provide lasting relief to those suffering from facet joint pain.

With a prevalence rate of 19.3%, over 180 million Indians suffer from chronic pain. Facet joint pain is a well-recognized source of pain in patients with persistent back pain. Multiple clinical studies show that for majority of patients, RF ablation significantly reduces pain severity and frequency for one year.

“MultiGen 2 is the next generation of radiofrequency ablation that provides physicians with control and customization to perform chronic pain management procedures with confidence”, said Aman Rishi, VP and GM – India for Stryker. “With MultiGen 2, radiofrequency ablation becomes more efficient and reliable than ever before, providing lasting relief to millions of people living with facet joint pain.”

Engineered with double the industry standard for power, the MultiGen 2 Generator achieves target temperature faster, with fewer errors, for increased reliability and efficiency. Physicians can start a procedure with the push of a single button, create strip lesions without removing electrodes and resolve errors without stopping the procedure, maximizing time and schedules. Procedures are customizable based on patient needs and physician preferences with flexible stimulation controls.

With MultiGen 2 RF Generator and Venom Cannula and Electrode System physicians can confidently create the industry’s largest, least-invasive lesions in the shortest amount of time. Together, MultiGen 2 and Venom System deliver reliability, efficiency and ultimate control.
