A groundbreaking multidisciplinary fatty liver clinic officially opened its doors on November 23^rd in Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre, marking a significant milestone in the fight against the growing fatty liver epidemic in India. The clinic, offers a comprehensive and coordinated approach to treating Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD), impacting one-third of the Indian population.

The clinic addresses the critical need for integrated care for MASLD, which is often linked to other metabolic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. Previously, patients often navigated a fragmented healthcare system, seeing multiple specialists in different locations. This Multidisciplinary team comprises of Hepatologists, Physicians, Nutritionists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Bariatric surgeons and a dedicated Coordinator to ensure smooth journey of the patient.
