Thyrocare Launches 4 Processing Labs and Sets Eyes on Jaipur & Vizag Labs in March

Thyrocare, one of India’s leading healthcare service providers in the diagnostic segment, is all set for expansion once again. With 4 Regional Processing Labs operational in the current quarter, in Nagpur, Ranchi, Raipur and Ahmedabad, Thyrocare is all set to launch 2 Regional Processing Labs in Jaipur and Vizag, in March 2022.

Thyrocare is gearing up for launch in Jaipur in the 2nd week and Vizag in the 4th week of March. Thyrocare Technologies has a 27-year-old fully operational Centralised Processing Laboratory (CPL) in Navi Mumbai. It also has 3 functional Zonal Processing Laboratories (ZPL) in Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata and 4 specially designated COVID-19 Processing laboratories in cities such as Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.

With a legacy of more than 25 years, Thyrocare Technologies Limited operates with a Centralised Processing Laboratory for esoteric tests; Zonal Processing Laboratories that perform advanced tests and 16 Regional Processing Laboratories pan India, which perform routine tests.

Out of the 16 additional Regional Processing Laboratories launched in the country, the 3,500 square feet processing unit in Ranchi came into operation on February 2nd 2022. The laboratory has advanced 24/7 unidirectional sample processing systems and automatic treatment plants that have processed over 20,000 samples.

The sprawling 4,000 square feet automated laboratory launched in Raipur became fully functional on 15th February 2022 and has successfully processed over 4,000 samples. The unit has been furnished with 24/7 unidirectional sample processing systems and an automated effluent treatment plant for the safe disposal of biomedical wastes.

As per standard protocol, Thyrocare’s existing Regional Processing Labs (RPLs), as well as the upcoming ones, will have automated technologies such as Photometry, Hematology, Immunoassay and HPLC along with manual Urology and ELISA. All the diagnostic centres launched by Thyrocare Technologies Limited are committed to offering lab services under the three following segments:

  1. 600 different types of tests at the CPLs will be in the fields of CLIA, Photometry, Nephelometry, Haematology, Coagulation, HPLC, Western Blot, LCMS, ICPMS, Electrophoresis, ELISA, Urology, Microbiology, Molecular microbiology and more.
  2. 300 different types of tests at the ZPLs will be in the field of CLIA, Photometry, Haematology, Coagulation, HPLC, LCMS, ICPMS, ELISA, Molecular microbiology and Urology.
  3. 200 different types of tests at the RPLs will be offered in CLIA, Photometry, Haematology, HPLC, Urology and ELISA.

Thyrocare has an IT-enabled, 24×7, fully automated diagnostic laboratory set up covering over 2,00,000 sq. ft. floor space that ensures error-free processing of over 1,00,000 specimens and over 4,00,000 Clinical Chemistry Investigations per night. The combination of air-cargo logistics and IT-enabled, barcoded, bi-directional systems ensures a turnaround time of 4 to 8 hours for processing of samples collected pan India.
