Zen Multispeciality Hospital has inaugurated its new Zen Annexe, a dedicated 100‑bed facility in Chembur focusing exclusively on urology and kidney care. The state‑of‑the‑art centre was launched in the presence of Dr Roy Patankar, Founder & Director of Zen Hospital, alongside senior medical professionals and administrators

.The Zen Annexe is engineered to respond to India’s rising burden of renal and urological diseases. The new centre offers four modular operating theatres equipped for minimally invasive and robotic procedures, a 14‑bed ICU with isolation capacity, and five dialysis stations. In a significant step forward, the facility is also laying the groundwork for a renal transplant programme, complemented by advanced diagnostics, imaging, and urodynamic testing services

.“Zen Annexe represents our vision of accessible, world‑class healthcare in urology and renal medicine,” said Dr Roy Patankar. He further noted that this centre, along with the planned Cardiac Institute by 2026, will transform Zen Hospital into a comprehensive hub of speciality care in North Mumbai

Chronic kidney disease now affects around 16.4% of Indians aged 15 and above, particularly in rural regions. The centre is designed to provide continuum-of-care—from initial diagnosis through dialysis and transplant—aiming to significantly improve outcomes and access for patients suffering from kidney and urinary disorders

Zen Hospital, established in 2015 and spanning 115 beds with 24×7 emergency and surgical facilities, has consistently integrated advanced technologies—such as 3D laparoscopic procedures, robotic surgery, and comprehensive lab and imaging services—into its offerings. The launch of the Zen Annexe adds a specialized layer in nephrology and urology within this modern infrastructure

Zen Multispeciality Hospital remains committed to expanding advanced, patient‑centric healthcare ecosystems. The addition of the Zen Annexe underscores its mission to enhance critical specialty services in a region witnessing increasing cases of renal and urological diseases.
