The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, today announced the successful conclusion of the ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar’ (SNSP) Abhiyaan, a nationwide women- and family-centric health campaign, which witnessed the organization of more than 18 lakh health camps across the country between 17 September and 2 October 2025.
Launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, the Abhiyaan was conducted as part of the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah and focused on strengthening preventive, promotive, and curative healthcare services for women, children, and families at the grassroots level.
Campaign Highlights
Massive Reach: Over 18 lakh health camps organized at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Community Health Centres, District Hospitals, and mobile units across rural, urban, and tribal regions.
Comprehensive Screening: Services included screening for anaemia, hypertension, diabetes, tuberculosis, sickle cell disease, cervical and breast cancers, as well as maternal and child health services such as antenatal care, immunisation, and nutrition counselling.
Wide Participation: Medical colleges, district hospitals, private institutions, ASHAs, ANMs, Anganwadi workers, Panchayati Raj Institutions, Nikshay Mitras, and MY Bharat volunteers actively contributed to the campaign’s success.
Real-Time Monitoring: All activities were tracked through the SASHAKT portal, ensuring transparency, accountability, and timely follow-ups.

Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Shri J.P. Nadda, said:

Way Forward
The Ministry confirmed that all individuals identified with health risks during the camps will be linked to appropriate healthcare facilities for follow-up care. Plans are underway to integrate periodic women’s health camps into the National Health Mission framework to ensure sustainability and long-term impact.
The successful conclusion of the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan reinforces the Government of India’s vision of ensuring Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar, and a Stronger Nation.
