Padma Shri Awardee and former IMA President Dr. KK Aggarwal passed away after battling from Covid on Monday night. The 62-year-old was admitted to AIIMS several days ago and was on ventilator support.
The renowned cardiologist Dr. Aggarwal was currently heading the Heart Care Foundation of India. He was awarded Padma Shri in 2010 and Dr. BC Roy Award in 2005.
In a statement, his family said, “Ever since he became a doctor, Padma Shri Dr. KK Aggarwal has dedicated his life to the welfare of the public and raising health awareness.”
“Even during the pandemic, he made constant efforts to educate the masses and was able to reach out to over 100 million people through numerous videos and educational programs and saved countless lives.”

Over the past year, Dr. KK Aggarwal had been posting videos on various aspects of the coronavirus infection and the black fungus in Covid-recovered.
