The government is supplying 50,000 ‘Made in India’ ventilators to state-run COVID-19 hospitals and has allocated ₹2,000 crore for this from PM-CARES fund, according to a statement from the PM’s Office. At least 2,923 ventilators have already been manufactured, of which 1,340 ventilators have been supplied to states and UTs, it added. Maharashtra and Delhi have received 275 units each.
