Medgate Today thinks India needs to develop visionary, comprehensive structured, tailored,and sustained MVT Program and policies to cater to specific medical needs of different regions across the globe.

Few points could be of consideration for policy makers and stakeholders of Indian healthcare ecosystem.

1. It has to be inclusive and hospitals with good administrative and clinical infrastructure across all tiers need to be included. Tourism component does encompass whole India with many tourist places dotting various locations.

2. Urgent need to develop 100% E.O.Us or MVT Corridors across India

3. 100% E.O.U. Zones or Corridors could be set up as per the Specialisations, International-domestic regional economics& dynamics or Resources Optimization perspectives.

4. A uniform location wise, and facility wise pricing matrix / capping needs to be in place to check discriminatory pricing practices across India.

5. Single Window for MV travellers to ensure ease of traveling India.

6. Single branding and promotional compaigns on the lines of “Athithi Devo Bhava”.

7. There could be quota system for all hospital providers to ensure an equitable business allocation.

8. All healthcare providers need to come under one umbrella to facilitate government’s MVT programs and policies.

9. NRI Medical Value Travellers could be incentivised in different ways.

10. Local good healthcare vendors must also be incentivised to ensure MVT benefits do accrue to whole Indian healthcare ecosystem.
