Pediatric intensive care is not just a specialty; it is a lifeline for critically ill children. Our work often makes the difference between life and death, and education plays a crucial role in improving outcomes at the grassroot level. I am proud to represent India and now lead the world platform, and committed to giving each child the best chance for survival and quality of life, including their family. As part of this global role, I aim to encourage the development and application of both new and existing critical care technologies for infants, children, and adolescents facing life-threatening conditions. Promoting education, advancing research, and setting global standards for training pediatric intensive care specialists and allied health workers are key priorities. We must also ensure wider access to clinical and research opportunities across the world to improve outcomes for every child in need,” said Dr. Milind Jambagi, Head of PICU and Emergency Services and Pediatrician, Ankura Hospital for Women and Child, Pune.

He further added, “I believe every child, no matter where they are born, deserves the best possible chance at life. This role gives me the platform to drive that change. I carry with me the voices of every parent, every child, and every caregiver I’ve met, and I promise to serve with humility, purpose, and passion. We believe in creating meaningful IMPACT where I stands for Integrity, M for Mobilisation, P for Partnership, A for Accountability, C for Caring, and T for Trust. These values are at the heart of everything we do.”
