ISQua, AEONMED, and QAI Announce Landmark Partnership to Transform Healthcare Quality Education in India
New Delhi, India – January 1, 2026 – The International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), AEONMED Health & Hospitals, and the Quality and Accreditation Institute (QAI) today announced a strategic partnership to launch

New Delhi, India – January 1, 2026 – The International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), AEONMED Health & Hospitals, and the Quality and Accreditation Institute (QAI) today announced a strategic partnership to launch India’s first internationally recognized capacity-building programmes in healthcare quality and patient safety.
ISQua is the Knowledge Partner in this collaboration.
This collaboration addresses a critical gap in the Indian healthcare sector: the shortage of formally trained professionals capable of leading quality improvement, accreditation, and patient safety initiatives. By combining ISQua’s global standards with local implementation expertise, the partnership aims to create a pipeline of competent, practice-ready quality professionals.
Addressing the Quality Workforce Crisis
With tightening regulatory requirements and rising patient expectations, Indian hospitals face an urgent need for qualified quality managers. Currently, no structured, globally recognized pathway exists for professionals to acquire these competencies domestically.
“Healthcare quality cannot be improvised; it requires systematic professional development,” said Dr. Rakesh Verma, CEO of AEONMED Health & Hospitals. “This partnership brings ISQua’s gold-standard framework to India, making world-class quality education accessible and affordable for the first time.”
Programme Highlights
The partnership will roll out tiered certification programmes starting in April 2026:
- Foundation Programme in Healthcare Quality & Patient Safety: A 24-week hybrid course designed for early-career professionals (doctors, nurses, administrators). It features weekend virtual classes, a 4-week hospital residency, and a practical capstone project.
- International Recognition: Graduates will receive a joint certification from ISQua, AEONMED, and QAI, recognized globally.
- Practical Focus: The curriculum is residency based and emphasizes implementable skills—from risk assessment to accreditation readiness—tailored to the realities of Indian healthcare.
Strategic Impact
Dr. BK Rana, CEO of QAI, added, “Accreditation is a journey, not a destination. These programmes will empower hospitals to build internal capacity, reducing dependence on external consultants and embedding quality into their daily operations.”
Availability
Applications for the first cohort of the Foundation Programme open on January 5, 2026, with the course commencing on April 1, 2026. Future offerings will include an Advanced Programme and a Master Programme.
We invite accredited hospitals to partner with us for hosting this programme in their hospitals on win-win terms.
