January 24, 2026: A landmark biography documenting the life, vision and lifelong contribution of Dr. Girdhar Gyani—widely regarded as the “Quality Man of India”—was formally released on Friday evening at the AHPI Global Conclave in Mumbai. The book release took place in the presence of leading policymakers, healthcare administrators, clinicians and industry stakeholders from across the country.
Authored by senior healthcare leader and Amazon best-selling author Joydeep Dasgupta, the biography presents a detailed and inspiring account of Dr. Gyani’s extraordinary journey as a reformer, mentor, institution builder and pioneer of healthcare quality and accreditation in India. The book traces his decades-long influence across public and private healthcare institutions, highlighting his unwavering commitment to ethics, patient safety and system-wide excellence.
The publication carries a distinguished foreword by two of India’s most respected healthcare visionaries—Dr. Prathap C. During the release, Dr. M. I. Dr. Joy Chakraborty, President, AHPI, along with the Dr HK Sale Vice President of the AHPI Maharashtra Chapter, formally honoured Dr. Girdhar Gyani with Maharashtra Safa on behalf of the healthcare fraternity, expressing deep appreciation for his unparalleled service and enduring impact on Indian healthcare.
