The National Testing Agency (NTA) has categorically denied claims circulating on social media regarding an alleged leak or sale of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination question paper, urging students and parents not to fall prey to misinformation and fraudulent activities.
In an official statement issued on X (formerly Twitter), the NTA said that several messages and posts falsely claiming advance access to the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination paper were being circulated with the intent to mislead candidates and their families. The agency clarified that there has been no paper leak and that claims regarding the “sale” or prior availability of examination content are completely baseless.
The NTA further warned that strict legal action would be taken against individuals and groups found spreading false information, attempting to defraud students, or engaging in activities that compromise the integrity of the examination process.
The clarification comes ahead of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, which is scheduled to be conducted for eligible candidates following directives related to the examination process. As one of India’s largest entrance examinations, NEET serves as the gateway for admission to undergraduate medical courses including MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other allied healthcare programmes.
Every year, more than 20 lakh aspirants register for NEET, making it one of the most competitive entrance examinations in the country. Given its scale and significance, examination authorities have intensified monitoring mechanisms to prevent misinformation, cyber fraud, and unauthorized dissemination of false content.
Education experts have advised students to rely exclusively on official updates issued by the NTA and avoid engaging with social media posts, messaging groups, or individuals claiming access to question papers. Such fraudulent claims often target anxious candidates and may lead to financial scams or misinformation.
The NTA reiterated that all examination related communications, including admit cards, notices, schedules, and official announcements, are released only through authorized channels. Candidates have been encouraged to verify information directly from official sources before taking any action.
The agency also emphasized its commitment to maintaining transparency, fairness, and security throughout the examination process. Advanced monitoring systems, cybersecurity measures, and coordination with law enforcement agencies are being utilized to safeguard the integrity of national level examinations.
As NEET-UG remains a critical milestone for aspiring medical students, authorities have urged candidates to focus on their preparation and avoid being distracted by unverified claims or rumours circulating online
