A multidisciplinary team of urologists, gynecologists, physiotherapists and rehabilitation specialists at Ruby Hall Clinic will launch a dedicated Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Program on 23rd June 2026, introducing the UI Cube, an advanced electromagnetic stimulation chair that delivers automated pelvic floor muscle training through Kegel exercises. The program aims to improve awareness, assessment and rehabilitation of pelvic floor disorders while providing patients access to a non-invasive treatment option for conditions such as urinary incontinence, pelvic floor weakness and sexual dysfunction. The initiative was inaugurated by Ms. Jill Grant Trustee Ruby Hall Clinic. The initiative is led by Dr. Smita Ingle, Director PT/OT Rehabilitation, and will bring together experts from multiple specialties. The occasion was graced by Dr. Purvez K. Grant, Chief Cardiologist, Chairman and Managing Trustee, Dr. Simon Grant, Physician and Trustee, Dr. Mudit Saxena, CEO, Dr. Urvaksh Bhote, Dr. Vivek Lal, Group Medical Director, Ms. Natalie Grant-Nanda (Director – SPL).

Pelvic floor disorders are among the most under recognised health conditions affecting both men and women, often significantly impacting quality of life while remaining untreated due to embarrassment, lack of awareness and social stigma. Conditions such as urinary incontinence, stress urinary leakage, pelvic floor weakness, bladder control problems and sexual dysfunction affect millions of individuals worldwide. Women commonly experience pelvic floor dysfunction following childbirth, menopause or pelvic surgeries, while men may develop symptoms following prostate surgery or due to age-related weakening of pelvic floor muscles. Medical experts note that the growing burden of these conditions, coupled with increasing life expectancy and greater awareness of quality-of-life issues, has created a pressing need for specialised rehabilitation services that can offer effective, non-surgical treatment options. Early intervention and structured rehabilitation can significantly improve symptoms, restore confidence and help patients regain normal day to day functioning.

The newly introduced UI Cube utilizes advanced electromagnetic stimulation technology to activate and strengthen pelvic floor muscles through automated Kegel exercises. Unlike conventional pelvic floor training, which depends heavily on a patient’s ability to correctly identify and engage these muscles, the technology enables deep muscle stimulation in a completely non-invasive manner. The treatment requires no surgery, no downtime, no pain and no undressing, making it a convenient option for a wide range of patients. Through targeted electromagnetic stimulation, the system helps improve muscle strength, endurance and neuromuscular control, supporting rehabilitation in patients with urinary incontinence, pelvic floor weakness, post-partum pelvic floor dysfunction, post prostate surgery rehabilitation and certain forms of sexual dysfunction.

Dr. Smita Ingle, Director PT/OT Rehabilitation, Ruby Hall Clinic, said, “Pelvic floor disorders often remain hidden despite having a profound impact on a person’s physical, emotional and social well-being. Many patients suffer silently for years because they believe these symptoms are a normal part of ageing or childbirth. Through this dedicated rehabilitation program, we aim to provide evidence based, patient-centric solutions that not only address symptoms but also improve overall quality of life. The introduction of advanced electromagnetic stimulation technology allows us to expand treatment options and make pelvic floor rehabilitation more accessible and effective for patients.”

Dr. Purvez K. Grant, Managing Trustee & Chief Cardiologist, Ruby Hall Clinic, said, “Healthcare today extends beyond treating disease; it involves helping individuals maintain dignity, independence and quality of life. Pelvic floor disorders are often overlooked despite affecting a significant proportion of the population. The launch of this dedicated program reflects our commitment to bringing advanced medical technologies and multidisciplinary expertise together to address important but underserved healthcare needs. By combining clinical excellence, innovation and patient education, we hope to create greater awareness and encourage more people to seek timely treatment.”

The launch of the Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Program further strengthens Ruby Hall Clinic’s commitment to delivering comprehensive, technology driven healthcare solutions across specialties. By bringing together expert clinicians, advanced rehabilitation technology and public awareness initiatives under one platform, the program aims to establish a holistic approach to pelvic floor health and improve outcomes for patients seeking safe, effective and non-invasive treatment options.
