Bengalur based healthcare startup CENT has expanded its footprint into the Delhi-NCR region with the launch of a new clinical prevention centre in Gurugram, which the company describes as India’s first dedicated facility focused exclusively on preventive and early detection healthcare.
The newly launched centre is designed to combine advanced diagnostics, artificial intelligence and specialist consultations under a single platform, enabling individuals to identify potential health risks before symptoms appear. Equipped with two advanced MRI machines and a capacity to conduct up to 2,000 scans per month, the facility aims to address the growing demand for preventive healthcare services in India.
According to the company, the centre integrates advanced imaging technologies, blood biomarker assessments, AI-powered analysis and physician led consultations to create a comprehensive preventive health evaluation model. The approach is intended to support early detection of serious conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases,
neurological disorders and metabolic illnesses, which account for a significant proportion of India’s disease burden.
The Gurugram launch marks CENT’s third facility after its existing centres in Bengaluru and Mumbai, reflecting the company’s broader strategy of building dedicated preventive healthcare infrastructure across major Indian cities. The expansion comes at a time when healthcare providers are increasingly shifting focus from treatment centric models to prevention and early intervention.
India continues to face a growing burden of non communicable diseases (NCDs), which account for nearly 63 percent of all deaths in the country, according to estimates from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the World Health Organization. Conditions such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes and chronic respiratory illnesses often remain undiagnosed until advanced stages, making early detection a critical component of improving health outcomes.
Healthcare experts note that advances in medical imaging, biomarker testing and artificial intelligence are transforming preventive healthcare by enabling earlier identification of disease risks and more personalized health assessments. AI-powered diagnostic tools can assist clinicians in detecting subtle abnormalities and analyzing large volumes of patient data more efficiently.
The company believes that dedicated prevention centres can help bridge existing gaps in early diagnosis and encourage proactive health management among individuals. By integrating diagnostics, technology and clinical expertise within a single ecosystem, the model seeks to improve accessibility and streamline preventive health evaluations.
Industry analysts view the expansion as part of a broader trend toward preventive and personalized healthcare, driven by increasing health awareness, rising lifestyle related diseases and growing consumer interest in wellness-focused medical services.
With the launch of its Gurugram facility, CENT aims to strengthen access to advanced preventive healthcare in North India while contributing to a healthcare model that prioritizes early detection, timely intervention and improved long term health outcomes.
