New Delhi, August 21, 2026: For Rajiv Gupta, Founder & CEO of Hyderabad-based Addiwise Technologies, the journey to transforming Orthotics & Prosthetics (O&P) is rooted in an experience that is deeply personal.

Nearly 25 years ago, Gupta experienced a life-changing accident that resulted in limb loss. What initially left him questioning why such an event had happened to him eventually became the foundation for a larger purpose: understanding the challenges faced by people living with limb loss and exploring how technology could make prosthetic and orthotic care more accessible, precise and patient-centric.

That vision has now evolved into Addiwise Technologies, a med-tech company working at the intersection of digital design, 3D scanning, additive manufacturing and clinical O&P care.

The company showcased its technology ecosystem at India Health 2026, held from August 21–23 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Addiwise Technologies was inaugurated on August 21 by Dr. M.C. Dash, National President, Orthotic & Prosthetic Association of India (OPAI).

The event provided a platform for Addiwise to demonstrate its approach to modernising conventional O&P workflows through an integrated digital ecosystem. Its participation comes as the company seeks to move O&P manufacturing from largely conventional and labour-intensive processes towards a more connected digital model.

Building a Digital Ecosystem for O&P

At the centre of Addiwise’s technology proposition is AddiOP, an integrated O&P manufacturing platform that brings together AddiScan, AddiNxT and AddiPrint. The platform is designed to connect the complete workflow — from patient scanning and digital design to order management, printing and manufacturing.

The company’s AddiNxT platform enables digital design and order management, allowing clinicians and O&P professionals to upload scans, manage patient models, track orders and make modifications through a connected workflow.

Meanwhile, AddiPrint is Addiwise’s dedicated 3D-printing technology for orthotic and prosthetic applications. The company describes its printers as industrial-grade systems developed specifically for O&P, with capabilities aimed at supporting faster production, reducing dependence on external suppliers and bringing more manufacturing processes within clinics and laboratories.

The philosophy behind the ecosystem is straightforward: Scan. Design. Print. Fit.

By digitally capturing patient anatomy, creating a customised design and manufacturing the device through 3D printing, Addiwise aims to give clinicians greater control over the creation of personalised O&P devices while improving consistency and simplifying workflows.

Technology With the Patient at the Centre

Beyond the technology platform, Addiwise has developed a portfolio of customised products designed around individual patient requirements.

These include AddiEase prosthetic sockets, AddiFlex ankle-foot orthoses, AddiSole digitally customised insoles and AddiStud, an adaptive-fit solution. The company also offers additional O&P products and solutions as part of its expanding portfolio.

Addiwise’s AddiEase prosthetic sockets, for example, use a digital workflow beginning with 3D scanning, followed by digital modelling, 3D printing and final fitment and adjustments. The company states that the sockets are designed using medically approved materials and engineered to provide lightweight durability and personalised fit.

Its AddiFlex range similarly uses 3D scanning and digital modelling to create customised AFOs, with designs intended to provide support, stability, flexibility and improved comfort.

When Experience Becomes Innovation

For Gupta, however, the technology represents only one part of the Addiwise story.

His own experience with limb loss has given the company’s mission a distinctly human dimension. The challenge, as he describes it, is not simply to manufacture a prosthetic or orthotic device, but to create a solution that fits the individual, supports mobility and enables people to return to everyday life with greater confidence and independence.

This patient-first philosophy is also reflected in Addiwise’s organisational approach. The company brings together orthotists, prosthetists, product designers, software engineers and business professionals, combining clinical understanding with engineering and digital manufacturing capabilities.

The company’s presence at India Health also reflects this intersection of technology and lived experience. The company currently has operations in Hyderabad and the UAE, reflecting its ambition to take its technology beyond the Indian market. Its stated philosophy, “Made for India – Made for the World,” captures that wider ambition.

The significance of Addiwise’s journey lies not only in the adoption of 3D printing within O&P, but in the possibility of making customised care more scalable. As digital technologies increasingly enter rehabilitation and assistive healthcare, the ability to capture individual anatomy digitally, design around patient requirements and manufacture customised devices could fundamentally reshape how O&P services are delivered.

For Rajiv Gupta, the journey that began with personal adversity has therefore become a larger mission — one that seeks to ensure that technology does not merely create better products, but helps create better mobility, greater independence and a more dignified everyday life for people living with limb loss and physical disabilities.
