Global healthtech major Philips has entered into a new collaboration with Bengaluru-based preventive healthcare startup CENT, aimed at strengthening early risk detection and preventive diagnostics across India.
The tie-up brings together Philips’ advanced imaging capabilities with CENT’s preventive screening model, with the shared goal of helping identify health risks earlier and enabling a more proactive, rather than reactive, approach to patient care.
Key Highlights
As part of the agreement, Philips will roll out its helium-free, wide-bore 70 cm 1.5T MRI systems, fitted with AI-enabled SmartSpeed image acceleration, across CENT’s preventive health screening centres.
The goal is to improve the overall screening experience, deliver high-quality imaging, and make MRI workflows more efficient — particularly for evaluating neurological, spine, and oncology-related risk factors.
Both organisations will also work together on refining MRI protocols, clinical workflows, and operational processes needed to support preventive screening and risk assessment in people who show no symptoms.
The initiative is being positioned as a step toward more personalised and proactive healthcare, combining AI-driven research with advanced MRI technology.
According to both companies, the broader aim is to help detect health conditions at an earlier stage in India, giving patients and doctors more time to act before conditions progress further.

Philips India Subcontinent’s Managing Director, Bharath Sesha, said the collaboration with CENT reflects the company’s effort to explore new ways of strengthening preventive diagnostics and improving health outcomes for a wider population.
CENT Co-Founder Anshul Khandelwal noted that the partnership underscores the need for dedicated imaging protocols, clinical workflows, and risk-assessment models built specifically for preventive care. He pointed out that in India, many serious health conditions are still caught only after symptoms appear, making early detection infrastructure a critical priority.
