HOSMAC, Asia’s leading hospital planning, design and management consultancy, is set to host the 6th edition of the Hospital Engineering Summit (HES) on 26th September 2026 at Hyatt Regency in Chandigarh. With the theme ‘Benchmarking Excellence: Challenges for Hospital Infrastructure’, the summit will bring together leading stakeholders from across the healthcare ecosystem to deliberate on the evolving requirements, challenges and opportunities shaping hospital infrastructure in India.

The day-long summit will serve as a platform for hospital administrators, CXOs and promoters, healthcare consultants, architects, planners, MEP consultants, project management professionals, medical equipment vendors, healthcare professionals and students of healthcare and finance to exchange insights and examine how infrastructure can keep pace with the changing demands of healthcare delivery. It will focus on the need to benchmark infrastructure against evolving standards of efficiency, safety, resilience, sustainability and patient-centricity.

The choice of Chandigarh reflects the city’s strategic importance as a healthcare and referral centre for the wider Northern region, with its healthcare ecosystem serving patients and institutions across Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and neighbouring areas.

A key highlight of the summit will be case study by L&T (Larsen & Toubro) on Pre-Engineered Hospital Buildings, offering attendees an opportunity to understand the planning, engineering, design and execution considerations involved in developing complex healthcare infrastructure at scale. This session will be undertaken by Ar Nithyanand N, Head Initiatives – Health Business, L&T Constructions.

The discussions at HES 2026 will span critical aspects of healthcare infrastructure, including hospital planning and design, engineering systems, MEP services, HVAC, medical infrastructure, project management, facility management, sustainability, technology integration and operational efficiency. The summit will also examine how closer collaboration between hospital promoters, designers, consultants, engineers and technology providers can contribute to more effective and future-ready healthcare facilities.

Over the years, HOSMAC’S hospital engineering summit has evolved into a platform for cross-disciplinary dialogue on the planning, design, engineering and management of healthcare facilities. Previous editions of HES have been hosted across key healthcare markets including Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur,and Ahmedabad bringing together hospital leaders, architects, engineers, consultants and other stakeholders to exchange insights and share perspectives on the evolving needs of healthcare infrastructure. The 6th edition in Chandigarh builds on this legacy, extending the conversation to the wider Northern healthcare ecosystem.
