Seemant Seva Foundation has proposed establishing a 150-bed hospital along the Adi Kailash Yatra route near Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, to improve access to healthcare in remote and difficult-to-reach mountainous border regions.

The proposal was presented during a programme organised at Yatharth Hospital, Noida. The initiative aims to address healthcare challenges faced by residents of remote border areas, where difficult terrain and limited medical facilities can delay access to timely treatment.

The proposed hospital is expected to serve local communities, pilgrims visiting Adi Kailash and security personnel deployed in the border region. Planned facilities include diagnostic services, specialist consultations, treatment facilities and emergency medical care, helping people access essential healthcare closer to their homes.

During the programme, Param Pujya Shri Vijay Kaushal Ji Maharaj appreciated the Foundation’s efforts to address the difficulties faced by people living in remote hill regions. He described the initiative as a commendable step towards improving healthcare access and serving communities in challenging geographical conditions.

The programme was organised by the Delhi Organising Committee of Seemant Seva Foundation, comprising Gaurav Varshaney, Geeta Rani, Vineet Singh and Dr Bhuwan Pandey. Kapil Tyagi, Director of Yatharth Hospital, Noida, was also present.

Commenting on the proposal, Dr Siddharth Patni, Secretary, Seemant Seva Foundation, said the initiative aims to improve healthcare access for residents, pilgrims and security personnel who often face difficulties obtaining timely medical assistance.

The proposed hospital could strengthen healthcare infrastructure in Uttarakhand’s remote border areas, where geographical isolation makes access to emergency and specialist medical services particularly challenging. The project remains a proposal, and further details regarding its implementation timeline and development plans have not yet been announced.
