Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Tuesday validated the 1,000th COVID-19 testing laboratory in order to intensify testing across India. Out of these 1,000 laboratories, 730 are in government setups and 270 are in the private sector. “Our goal was to establish a lab in every district across India which we’ve achieved to a large extent,” ICMR director said.
