The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has approved ₹7.5 crore to cover the cost of tests carried out by private laboratories, standing committee chairman, Hemant Rasane, said. The move will help increase the daily COVID-19 testing capacity in Pune by 500, he added. PMC is currently negotiating with private laboratories to bring down the rates for COVID-19 tests, Rasane further said.
