BMC Municipal commissioner IS Chahal said that BMC will increase bed capacity in Mumbai from the current 84,000 to 1 lakh by June-end for treatment of COVID-19 patients. He added that the number of ICU beds would be increased by 300 by June 25. “We’re planning…in such a way…if our cases double, our beds should be sufficient,” Chahal said.
