Children across the world symbolize innocence and pure joy. When kids are afflicted with disease, along with the kid, the parents and family also go through painful moments. But, true to their nature, Kids are resilient and bounce back from ailments given proper treatment and care. To celebrate this spirit of children, Global Hospitals, Mumbai, organized a grand Children’s Day Carnival to celebrate the superheroes.

Around 50 kids from about 100 children who have undergone a Liver Transplant came together to celebrate the half day carnival. There were various fun activities kept for the children to enjoy like Puppet show, games, tattoo artist, Face painting, a magic show and many more to keep children engaged in fun activities.

The kids enjoyed the ring games, toss your win, and other fun games and the happiness on the face of their parents at seeing the kids enjoy and living a normal life were captured as priceless memories.

The clinical team comprising of Liver Transplant Surgeons, Pediatric Hepatologists, Anesthetists, Intensivists and Nurses also spent time with the kids enjoying the day. The most exciting and highlight of the event was a grand ramp walk where each child walked the ramp holding hands of the doctors and nurses who treated them. After the ramp walk, the kids were felicitated as a Superhero.

Captain America & Shin Chan, the mascots of the event also mixed with everyone present and the families gathered clicked photographs with them while they were distributing sweets to everyone around. The parents also enjoyed themselves as their kids would now go on to fulfill their dreams after recovering from challenging life situations.

Dr. Vivek Talaulikar, CEO, Global Hospitals, Mumbai, mentioned, “Children are loved by everyone. They conquer our hearts with their laughter and innocent smiles and are very precious to us. The event was planned so that each of these superheroes could enjoy themselves after winning a battle for survival. Seeing the children back on their feet and enjoying themselves gives us immense happiness. The event ended with a high of the ramp walk and signified the triad of Health, Hope and Happiness for the children.”
