Reason for joining the profession
Since the childhood i have seen my father’s journey as a Doctor and i always wanted to be Doctor as it brings hopes to the patient when they need it the most.

Early Challenges
Being a son of a famous orthopedic surgeon, i had a huge challenge of creating my own identity and make a mark on the specialty. This at times felt like a liability but i converted that into an asset and worked hard to ensure the factor of comparison with my father encourages me to do my best each and every time.

Professional Highs
Despite practicing for more than 25 years, still today every happy patient gives me a professional high. However, my first operative case as a surgeon will remain a special one for me.

Inspiration
My father Dr K H Sancheti has been my inspiration since my childhood with his exemplary achievements in Orthopaedics in India has seen a new dimensions.
Indus, being the first Indigenous implant has done wonders. I am moved by thoughts and work of my fellow colleagues and seniors whom i meet at various national and International conferences.

Family Details
By the grace of god, I have an amazing family along with me who supports me always. My Parents, Sisters Manisha, Rupal and Sonal, Wife Archana and my Kids Aman and Anaya have been my backbone. They are my safety net, despite spending less time with all of them they have adjusted to my hectic work schedules, and indeed their support has been a pillar of my success.

Hobbies
I am short of time, many times. But whenever i am free i like to travel, enjoy reading and playing basketball.

Your most important priority if you were a Health Minister
I would try to revamp status of Rural healthcare in India as more than 75% of our population stays in rural areas and for quality healthcare services are dependent on the higher centers in the city. I will encourage health care providers to start establishments in Rural areas and ensure higher insurance penetration in population.
