In today’s fast-paced world, modern lifestyles have become a health hazard. A sedentary lifestyle consisting of long hours at work, lack of physical exercise and unhealthy eating habits has given rise to several silent diseases like high blood pressure, hypertension and other chronic conditions. These silent ailments are no longer confined to those over 45 and are increasingly affecting younger generations. It is not uncommon for individuals in their 20s and 30s to face these health issues. What makes this trend even more concerning is that many of them remain unaware of their deteriorating health until it’s too late.

Recognising the urgent need to tackle this worrying health trend, Harikrit organised a day-long health camp for citizens. In association with the Illness to Wellness campaign and YoloHealth the health camp was organised at the Purani Chaupal, Shahpur Jat, New Delhi. The camp was conducted in the auspicious presence of Shri Suresh Jain, National Organising Secretary, Bharat Vikas Parishad. Established in 1963, Bharat Vikas Parishad is a prominent service-orientated, non-political, socio-cultural voluntary organisation.

At the health camp, hundreds of people underwent comprehensive tests across various vital parameters, including blood pressure, lipid profiles, blood sugar levels, and various invasive and non-invasive tests. These screenings revealed health issues, with many participants found to have conditions like hypertension, obesity, and even diabetes.

Indicating undiagnosed diabetes, out of the 104 people who had an HbA1c test, almost 20 per cent had a reading of 200 or above. Several participants were surprised to learn about their health conditions, which they had not been aware of before. The revelations were beneficial for these individuals, as it highlighted the potential risk of irreversible damage without timely intervention. The camp’s health screening has now provided the knowledge to these individuals to take control of their health and implement necessary measures for better management and prevention of further complications.

The camp is part of an ongoing series of health camps running for nearly a year in the city, conducted by the ‘Illness to Wellness’ campaign and YoloHealth in association with various organisations that are dedicated to promoting the crucial importance of preventive healthcare.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Anil Rajput, Chairperson, ASSOCHAM National CSR Council, said, “It is a matter of satisfaction for me that the Illness to Wellness awareness campaign is expanding its reach with every passing month. From schools to government institutions and now to voluntary organisations like Harikrit which has been focusing on the health of senior citizens for over two decades- the yolohealth mobile health atm has generated impactful awareness drives in areas which matter the most- our communities! Going ahead, we will continue to join hands and collaborate with stakeholders and build on our core objective of creating an increasingly aware and empowered society.”

The ‘Illness to Wellness’ campaign, a national initiative dedicated to promoting healthy living, has been conducting a series of health camps to sensitise citizens on the importance of detecting potential health issues at an early stage. These camps are serving as an awareness and proactive health check-up platform, offering individuals comprehensive health check-ups and expert guidance on adopting healthier lifestyles.

At the camp, YoloHealth used its innovative product, HealthATM, demonstrating how technology revolutionises accurate health assessments. The HealthATM machines are an aggregation of US FDA/EU certified IoT-enabled medical devices with YoloHealth’s proprietary HIPAA-compliant software and cloud-based telemedicine platform. This pioneering initiative provides accessible primary and preventive healthcare services and empowers individuals to monitor their health and make informed decisions.Top of FormBottom of Form
