India and 12 other countries are leading an initiative aimed at spreading fact-based content to counter “infodemic” or manipulated information on coronavirus. Over 130 nations have endorsed a “global call to fight” the “infodemic” relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. “Infodemics” can raise the risk of conflict, violence, human rights violations and mass atrocities, a statement said.
