There is some good news for Indian athletes representing India at the Tokyo Olympics. A health-care start-up with multi-specialty medical services has declared it will provide free healthcare to all 127 Indian sports’ people who are representing the country in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. This includes 50 kinds of surgeries as well, related to sports orthopaedics, proctology, urology and ophthalmology to name a few, should there be a need.

The establishment known as Glamyo Health has 200 hospitals in nine cities, and has a special team in place to ensure such free health services reach the sportspeople in question. As slick as a marketing promotion this may be, our athletes deserve such sops given that many of them struggle against unsurmountable odds to get where they are. Not just those winning medals at the Olympics, but every athlete representing the country at Tokyo will be provided free medical aid.
