“Our visions coincide with the government of India’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative. Local production will reduce the dependence on foreign suppliers and increase employment in India. On one hand, the generated revenue will contribute to the nation’s economy and on the other hand, better healthcare solutions provided by IMAEC MEDNTEK.”

What was the motivation behind the formation of Imaec Medntek?
It’s a well-known fact that there is a massive gap in the need for healthcare solutions and their availability in India. The desire to play a role in fulfilling this need and stopping the spread of infections along with alleviating suffering was the primary motivation that inspired me to create Imaec Medntek.

How do you plan to achieve this goal?

Our country needs rapidly deployable, state-of-the-art solutions in order to bring our healthcare system at par with developed nations. We aspire to provide innovative solutions in infection control and dialysis. We plan to manufacture these products in India and create awareness and provide training for their use. Our visions coincide with the government of India’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative. Local production will reduce the dependence on foreign suppliers and increase employment in India. On one hand, the generated revenue will contribute to the nation’s economy and on the other hand, better healthcare solutions provided by IMAEC MEDNTEK will contribute towards nation-building, and this is in addition to our plan of serving patients and improving their quality of life. This ambition of serving patients is what inspires us to work harder every day.

Why have you chosen these segments and how do you plan to play a role in alleviating suffering?

For the last two years, we saw how our health care industry and economy were both pushed to the brink of collapse because of a sudden surge in covid cases. It showed us how important infection control products are if we were to avoid healthcare-related infections. Not only there is a lack of such innovative products but also, there are no suppliers who can provide an entire array of products from protective clothes to sanitizing solutions. Awareness and training are also in short supply. Infection control products have always been important, but now, the risks have gone up, and so has the importance of infection control solutions.
Because of this, we have come up with a line of sanitization and cleaning products that will meet the needs of everyone from hospitals and clinics to individuals. We have created a range of products: personal hand disinfectants, and hospital floor cleaners, as well as disinfectants for medical devices, along with different types of protective clothing, disposable gowns along with sheets and drapes for use in medical facilities. This allows hospitals and medical facilities to work round the clock, while still keeping infections at bay. We have a similar range of products in the wound dressing and pain management segment.
Let’s look at another example of a health problem. End-stage kidney disease, which is the situation where your kidneys can no longer function normally to meet your body’s needs, so you need dialysis or a kidney transplant to stay alive. With the rapid increase in the number of chronic kidney disease patients requiring dialysis, hemodialysis units (HDUs) are getting overburdened.
At IMAEC MEDNTEK, our goal is to make sure that everyone in the country can get the best possible treatment. Our plan is to start several dialysis centers. In addition, we are planning to make home dialysis machines and supplies.

What sets Imaec Medentek’s apart?
Here, I would like to mention is the holistic approach that we had in mind while designing the range of products. We want to create whole range of products for every need backed up by our support, training and awareness campaign.
For example, in the case of infection control, we have everything from surgical gowns, isolations gowns and coveralls. We have different types of drapes, sheets and covers. We can provide different types of sanitizers and disinfectants for instruments, surfaces and for individuals. We also provide demonstrations and training. Any healthcare facility or an office or factory or even a household can depend on us completely to create an end-to-end solution for them to make sure that they can be fully functional while keeping infections at bay. Such capability of infection-free operations is crucial during times like current pandemic situations and for facilities such as hospitals and clinics, it’s an everyday necessity.
Similarly, we can provide end-to-end solution for hemodialysis as well. Where we can provide instruments, different consumables, disinfectants designed specially for hemodialysis, water purification along with training and support. This holistic approach is what sets us apart. which means that one can depend on us, for us that is the most important part.

What has Imaec Medntek achieved so far and what are your future plans?
In a short span of 1 year, we have achieved several milestones, that will pave the way to the success of our company in future, be it about setting up, hiring and training the entire sales team within months or Building a successful E-commerce website. We have also established an efficient distribution network.
Imaec Medntek has developed its technological capability, manufacturing set up has been laid down at Chinchwad for disinfectants and disposable garments and it is set to start production by June 2022. Another new manufacturing unit for dialysis consumables is being set up at Vizag(A.P) and will start production by June 2022. With an aim to alleviate suffering and improve the quality of life for renal disease patients, we intend to start over 100 dialysis centers throughout India. The first three locations have
already been finalized to be Mumbai, Pune and Bhopal.
