Neuberg Diagnostics, one of the top 4 Pathology laboratory chains in India, with more than 200 labs and 2000+ collection centers and having a presence in India, South Africa, UAE, and the USA, hosted its annual global pathology conference, Pathfinders 2023, on the 18th and 19th of March, 2023. The conference, based on the theme, ‘Understanding Today to Predict a Better Tomorrow,’ was attended by over 500 doctors from across the globe. The conference was a platform to bring together renowned speakers from the medical fraternity to discuss the latest advancements in diagnostics and their impact on personalized medicine.
The world of disease management has come a long way from the era of “one size fits all” to a time when clinicians and patients have a larger set of options. The need of the hour is to focus on personalized treatment protocols based on an individual’s unique physiology. The conference aimed to explore the Neu-Age of Diagnostics Advancements in Oncology, Reproductive Medicine, Proteomics, and Data Analytics and shed light on what the present and future hold for the realm of personalized medicine.

On Day 1 of the conference, topics related to oncopathology, proteomics, reproductive medicine, and genomics were discussed. Day 2 of the conference focused on oncology, hematolymphoid neoplasms, and data analytics. The keynote speakers of the event were Dr. Anita Borges, Center of Excellence Histopathology, Tata Trust; Dr. Ralph Fingerhut, Head of Newborn Screening, SYNLAB MVZ Weiden, Germany & Associated Professor for Biochemistry, Technical University of Deggendorf, Germany. Dr. Borges delivered an oration for the Late Dr. Ajit Golwilkar, a legend and pioneer in the field of diagnostics in India. She then spoke about the importance of histopathology in cancer diagnosis.
